Friends of Shadwell School FOSS

FOSS are a volunteer run charitable organisation who raise money for the children of Shadwell School.  They are a separate organisation from the school. Shadwell School has agreed to host this page to enable parents from the school to easily access information about FOSS.  All information and documents below are provided by FOSS.  Any questions in relation to the information or documents on this page must be addressed directly to FOSS using the contact details at the bottom of this page.  As FOSS are a separate entity from the school, we are unable to answer any queries in relation to the documents or information FOSS provide. 

Who we are and how you can get involved

We are mainly a group of parents that volunteer our time to help raise funds for the school and to enrich the lives of the children.

As well as raising much needed funds that improve our school, the social events we run bring the whole community together.

Why not get involved?

Did you know? Throughout the country, 3.9 million children benefit from having a PTA in their school.

Don’t be put off if you feel you can’t give your time, haven’t been asked or are unsure what’s involved.

  • We have parents who work part time or full time. Any time you can give is welcome.
  • Having a child at this school means you can join us. We can use any skills you have and you might learn some new ones.
  • Being involved is a great way to get to know the school and other parents.

Social Media Secretary:

The social media secretary supports the Secretary to publicise event on social media and across FOSS and School website.

Grants Officer:

Work with the School business manager to identify local businesses and bodies that the school/FOSS could apply for grants.
